Mark Sloper, the artist behind Illuminati Neon, draws inspiration from the punk movement of the 1970s and 80s and the cultural vibrancy of West London. Born in St Ives, Cornwall, into a family of painters, Mark’s passion for punk began after meeting Adam Ant at age 11. His career spans videography for iconic bands like The Police and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, BBC filmmaking, and documentaries on legends like David Bowie and the Sex Pistols. Influenced by his friend Chris Bracey, Mark blends neon, montage, typography, and punk memorabilia to create rebellious, vibrant artworks collected by celebrities such as Sir Elton John and Boy George.
