Laura Jordan
Laura Jordan, a renowned British illustrator, is celebrated for her detailed, expansive cityscapes. Her artistic inspiration stems from her interest in societal issues, specifically class disparities in urban poverty-stricken areas. This focus has led to her unique portrayals of major cities globally. Laura's artwork is not only technically impressive, but it also encapsulates the essence of the cities she represents. Her pieces often incorporate insightful social commentary, typically related to city-specific events and policies. The artist methodically constructs each cityscape, drawing small sections at a time, and combining them to form the overall scene. Laura pursued her education in graphic design and editorial illustration at the London College of Communication, graduating in 2007. Born in 1984 and raised in Haslemere Surrey, Laura moved to London in 2004 for her studies and continued to reside and work there post-graduation.
